The new hard drive on my computer died. I lost nearly four days of work last week and paid $320 for a replacement hard drive, now the new one’s kaput.
I’m at wit’s end.

Surely the repair place will pick up the tab on this, won’t they?
Oh, absolutely, the place that provided the new one would have to make good on it. I expect will they. 🙂
I can almost guarantee I’ll end up paying. It’s the way of things. “Oh, you need to replace your master flabbergaster and the secondary wingjiggy — that’s what caused your drives to go bad. We should be able to do it for $500. You can come pick it up next Tuesday…”
I’m really scared. I had to borrow the $320 to get it fixed last week. I don’t magically have any more money this week… In fact I’ve lost contracts because of my down time last week, so I’m even further in the hole.
AGAIN?
Surely, it’s under some warranty being new and all? Or they must have to replace it free, I mean nothing breaks after a week. They will replace it free. They have to! Of course it’s not helping your lost time any. Sorry dude.
Duuude… I’d offer to fix it for you, but a) I know nothing about Mac 2) Overnight shipping takes 4 days to get to New Mexico. and d) I don’t know nothing about Macs.
Buy a lottery ticket. Spectacularly bad run of things.
Oh NO! That new hard drive has to be under warranty, so get on their asses. You’re American – can’t you threaten to sue them for lost wages or something?
Maybe I watch too much TV?
WOW! There may be something else causing the problem. I’m sure the folks who put the drive in will stand by their work. You should insist on it. This too will pass. Keep smiling!
